Scalar Potential – Core Concept 1
Return to Core Concepts of Sympathetic Vibratory Physics

This page is part of the Core Concepts of Sympathetic Vibratory Physics — the Semantic Spine of SVP. Each Core Concept defines an essential principle that underlies all SVP teachings, technologies, and transformations.

Definition

Scalar Potential is the undisturbed, non-polarized field of infinite latent force and perfect equilibrium. It is the foundational substrate from which all motion, energy, and matter emerge — not by random action, but by a sympathetic disturbance such as thought, will, or external excitation.

In SVP, Scalar Potential is not “nothingness,” but a state of total harmonic containment — the reservoir of unexpressed energy, the eternal stillness preceding all vibration.

Function

Acts as the origin of all vibratory phenomena.

Remains balanced and inert until disturbed by an activating force.

Gives rise to Sympathetic Vibration, polarization, and dynamic motion.

Reabsorbs or neutralizes energetic expression as part of the rhythmic return to equilibrium.

It is the "still point of knowing" in Russell's terms and the latent force field in Keely’s.

Historical References

John Keely: Defined Scalar Potential as the compound etheric field containing latent force, which could be disturbed to release unlimited power. See: Latent Force, Keely's Theory of Atomic Dissociation

Walter Russell: Called it the Still Magnetic Light — the unchanging Source behind all changing forms. See: The Universal One, The Secret of Light

Nikola Tesla: Referred to the all-pervasive energy in space as a “sea of energy” and attempted to tap it using longitudinal wave devices.

Tom Bearden: Described Scalar Potential as the unpolarized vacuum state from which usable energy could be extracted by engineering a disturbance of equilibrium.

Paul Dirac: Proposed the existence of a vacuum field filled with negative-energy states — now echoed in the zero-point field concept.
