Consciousness

"When consciousness is purged of all its contamination, what remains is life - pure consciousness or God." Sri Bhagavan See Ego, Error

"In the consciousness of earthly or material forces there enters all the attributes of the physical, fleshy body. In the subconscious there enters the attributes of soul forces, and of the conscious forces. In the superconscious there enters the subconscious forces, and spiritual discernment and development." Cayce (900-16)

In the laboratory of Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) at Princeton University/USA, research on the topic "mind-machine-interaction" has been ongoing since the late 1970s. As far back as the late 80s, extensive studies proved that diodes with white noise might be used as an interface between man and machine. Since 1998, worldwide about 50 such diodes with white noise have been measuring not only the consciousness of individuals but also the global consciousness of mankind within a study called "Global Consciousness Project". The results have been published and indicate synchronized reaction of all diodes to incidents of worldwide interest such as the war in Iraq, Lady Diana's funeral or the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001 on the World Trade Centre in New York. http://www.experiencefestival.com/a/Morphic_fields/id/10320

"For life, in its continuity, is that experience of the soul or entity - including its soul, its spirit, its superconsciousness, its subconscious, its physical consciousness, or its MATERIAL consciousness, in that as its DEVELOPMENT goes through the various experiences takes on more and more that ability of knowing itself to be itself, yet a portion of the Great Whole, or the One Creative Energy." Cayce (900-426)

"The spirit entity is a thing apart from any earthly connection in sleep, yet connected. For the earthly or material consciousness is ever tempered with material conditions; the superconsciousness with the consciousness between soul and spirit, and partakes of the spiritual forces principally. In consciousness we find only projections of subconscious and superconscious, which conditions project themselves in dreams, visions, unless entered into the superconscious forces. In the consciousness of earthly or material forces there enters all the attributes of the physical, fleshly body. In the subconscious there enters the attributes of soul forces, and of the conscious forces. In the superconscious there enters the subconscious forces, and spiritual discernment and development." Cayce (900-16)

"Hence it may truly be said that to be at-variance may bring sickness, dis-ease, disruption, distress in a physical body. It is true then that the mind may heal entirely by the spoken word, by the laying on of hands, dependent upon the CONSCIOUSNESS of the motivative forces in the individual body. Yet those requiring material expression to create a balance may necessitate drug, knife, water, heat, Electricity, or ANY of those forces that are yet what? What is the spirit? The MANIFESTATION OF GOD! The CREATIVE Force working in, with and upon what? The awareness, the interconsciousness of the BODY, the mind, the spirit, as separated in individuals! O that all would gain JUST that! and not feel, "Yes, I understand - but my desires and my body and my weaknesses and this or that - and I didn't do it." Who else did?" Cayce (262-83)

Q - "(Is it true) that the memory reveals itself some time after death to a spiritual-minded person, not only as related to the earthly life, or the remaining earthly thoughts of earthly life, but ALSO reveals itself as a self-unfoldment of ALL past experiences?"

A - "Correct. For life, in its continuity, is that experience of the soul or entity - including its soul, its spirit, its superconsciousness, its subconscious, its physical consciousness, or its MATERIAL consciousness, in that as its DEVELOPMENT goes through the various experiences takes on more and more that ability of knowing itself to be itself, yet a portion of the Great Whole, or the One Creative Energy." Cayce (900-426)

"Know in self, first this: Thou art body, mind and soul, a three-dimensional individual in a three-dimensional consciousness. Hence ye find the Godhead, to a consciousness of an individual in the earth plane, is three dimensions: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each are individual, and yet they are one. So with the body-consciousness: the body, the mind and the soul. Each have their attributes, each have their limitations, save the soul. Nothing may separate the soul from its source save the will of self." Cayce (5089-3)

"It (death) is not the end, then, because we pass from one room to another, from one consciousness to another. For, so is it proclaimed in that promise. Though we live in the physical consciousness, we pass - as this entity has oft - into those consciousnesses of Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus; for these are but stepping stones to the greater consciousness which He would have each soul attain in its relationships with and usage of its fellow men." Cayce (2282-1)

Quantum Approaches to Consciousness - It is widely accepted that consciousness or, more generally, mental activity is in some way correlated to the behavior of the material brain. Since quantum theory is the most fundamental theory of matter that is currently available, it is a legitimate question to ask whether quantum theory can help us to understand consciousness. Several approaches answering this question affirmatively, proposed in recent decades, will be surveyed. It will be pointed out that they make different epistemological assumptions, refer to different neurophysiological levels of description, and use quantum theory in different ways. For each of the approaches discussed, problematic and promising features will be equally highlighted. http://www.quantumconsciousness.org/StanfordEncyclopediaarticle.htm
