National Science Fiction Day corresponds with the birth date of famed science fiction writer Isaac Asimov (January 2, 1920 - April 6, 1992). He is considered one of the "Big Three" science fiction writers, along with Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke writing or editing more than 500 fiction and non-fiction books.
