A SMALL EDITION OF KEELY.

NEWARK, N.J., March 8.-Residents of what is known as “the Hill” in Newark are anxious to learn the whereabouts of Herr Carl Muller. A year ago he made his appearance among them, and by his Socialistic tendencies attracted that class of agitators to his side. He soon made it known that he was engaged on an invention that would revolutionize all the known motor systems, and he organized a company among them to promote its completion and its placing on the market. Like Keely, the Philadelphia mystery, he worked in secret, or pretended to, and refused to divulge any of the secrets of his workshop. A week ago he disappeared, and the Socialists of “the Hill” say that he took away about $1,000 of money he had induced them to invest in his company.
