Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:30 P. M.

1. GC: You will have before you the Glad Helpers, members of which are present here, and the various phases of the work this group is carrying on in studying and applying the laws of spiritual healing. You will answer the questions which will be presented relative to their work.

2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here, as a group, as individuals; and the work of the Glad Helpers in spiritual healing.

3. In choosing a service in such a manner, let you each reconsecrate, rededicate your lives to such a service, in Jesus, the Christ, who gave that "What ye ask in my name, believing, that will be done; that the Father may be glorified" - in Him and He in us.

4. In such a manner each may become, then, more and more attuned to that spiritual awakening which brings that peace as He promised. Not as the world knoweth peace, but that conviction within the heart, that though the experiences of the physical are oft as torments in our material experience, there is the advocate with the Father and He will comfort, He will bring peace, harmony and understanding to those who seek to know His face - and who have the courage to dare to do the right in the face of all oppositions of every nature. The unkindnesses, the slights, the slurs, the unkind words, the broken promises of men become as naught in the praise of Him who gave his life that we might have life more abundantly in Him, and gives the promise that through the prayer, through the desire, through the trying to be that as we know, as we feel is in keeping with the promises in the Christ they become (the promises) then our very own.

5. Then is so living and so realizing may we each become as channels of blessings to others in their disturbed minds, their disturbed bodies, their disturbed desires. For if we would be one with Him, it is in helping others, in bringing to them the knowledge of the Christ, that His peace - which is of Him - becomes a part of us.

6. For if we would have life, we must give life - that we may have it more abundantly. For Life is the manifestation of the Father in the earth.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) You will give affirmations which may be sent to those on the daily prayer lists.
(A) OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. LET THY LOVE, THAT HAS BEEN MANIFESTED IN THE EARTH, BE MORE AND MORE A PART OF MY DAILY LIFE; THAT I MAY KNOW LIFE, HEALTH, PEACE AND JOY THAT ARE IN THEE AND THY PROMISES.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD. THOU ART LIFE AND HELP AND JOY AND PEACE, AND ONLY AS I MANIFEST THESE IN MY DAILY LIFE MAY I ENJOY THE WHOLE PEACE OF THE FATHER. GIVE, O FATHER, THAT PEACE, THAT JOY.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD. AS WE BELIEVE IN THE PROMISES OF THY SON, OF THY SAINTS, OF THY LIFE - AS MANIFESTED IN ME - LET THAT LIFE IN ME BE PERFECT IN THEE; THAT THE CHRIST MAY BE GLORIFIED AS HE HAS PROMISED TO THE EARTH.

Again: FATHER, GOD, MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH AND ALL THAT IN THEM ARE, I CLAIM SONSHIP, KINSHIP, TO THEE IN CHRIST - JESUS - WHO GAVE THAT WHAT WE ASK IN HIS NAME MAY BE DONE IN MY BODY. GIVE, FATHER, THAT THOU SEEST I HAVE NEED OF, NOW.

Again: LET THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH, THE PURPOSES OF MY HEART, THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH, BE ATTUNED TO THE LOVE OF THE FATHER THAT I MAY SHOW TO THE SONS OF MEN.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD, FORGET NOT THY PROMISES TO HEAR WHEN THY CHILDREN CRY UNTO THEE. HEAR, O FATHER, IN MY WEAKNESS. MAKE ME STRONG BY THY MIGHT, THAT I MAY BE A LIVING EXAMPLE OF THE LOVE OF THE FATHER TO THE CHILDREN OF MEN.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD, LET ME BE JOYOUS IN THY PROMISES. LET ME BE WHAT THOU HAST PURPOSED THAT I SHOULD BE AMONG MY FELLOW MEN: AND MAY IT BE ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD, THE GIVER OF ALL GOOD AND PERFECT GIFTS.

Again: OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BY THY NAME, IN ALL THE EARTH. LET THY PEACE AND THY LOVE HEAL THE ERRORS OF MY WAYS, THAT I MAY INDEED CLAIM THY PROMISES TO THE CHILDREN OF MEN.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD, LET THE LIGHT OF THY LOVE SO

ILLUMINE MY MIND AND MY BODY THAT IT MAY FULFILL IN THE EARTH THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT CAME INTO BEING - NOW.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD, KEEP ME IN THY REMEMBRANCE EVEN AS I KEEP THEE AND THY LOVE IN REMEMBRANCE BY THAT I SHOW IN MY LIFE TO MY FELLOW MEN; THAT I MAY BE A CHANNEL OF HELP, OF HOPE, OF BLESSINGS TO OTHERS.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD. FILL MY LIFE, MY MIND, MY BODY, WITH THE LOVE OF SERVICE TO OTHERS, IN SUCH MEASURES THAT MY BODY, MY MIND, MAY BE HEALED FROM THAT WHICH WOULD HINDER IN THAT GREAT SERVICE OF LOVE FOR OTHERS.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD. LET THE HEAVEN OF CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE PRESENCE OF THE CHRIST LIGHT MY PATHWAY OF CHOICE: THAT I MAY CHOOSE IN THIS LIFE TO BE THAT FOR WHICH THY PURPOSES BROUGHT ME INTO BEING - NOW.

Again: OUR FATHER, OUR GOD. MAY THE JOY AND THE LOVE OF THEE SO FILL MY LIFE, MY HEART, MY DESIRES AND PURPOSES, THAT I MAY BE FILLED WITH THE JOY AND PEACE OF THE LORD - NOW.

9. (Q) We submit at this time two new forms for Glad Helpers Blanks used to send to those on prayer lists. Please comment on them. Copies are held in my hand.
(A) These, as we find, are very good. Change sufficiently oft that those receiving same may look forward to a service being rendered them by those that minister in such offices.

Let each of the members of the prayer group, the Glad Helpers, realize that your personality must be lost in the love of service to others; yet that personal consideration as may be given any on the prayer group or prayer list becomes personal, even as it is said of Him, "and he looked on him and loved him."

So you each will find a helpfulness in yourselves, and a service to those on the list, by there occasionally being given - or the choosing to send - a cheery word to those who have asked to be remembered by the Glad Helpers in their prayer.

Hence though it only be a word remember - take time to be holy; this means to find time to speak a kind word.

10. (Q) Please check our Glad Helpers work and advise what changes may be made that would be beneficial to the work.
(A) It's just been given.

11. (Q) Please give suggestions and plan as to how our work should be presented at the coming Congress.
(A) Hold an ideal meeting. Take the prayer list - let as many as will write before time and have much of an EXPERIENCE meeting.

For if you in your hearts have felt or do feel that you have brought comfort or hope or purpose (note the words!) in the lives of others, then you have indeed been an example for others seeking - in truth - to know SPIRITUAL work.

And unless the aim of the prayer group or Glad Helpers is to fulfill such a place, you have lost sight of that whereunto you were called.

In presenting such a meeting, let it be not long drawn out, nor yet so crisp or snappy as to lose its purpose; inviting all to join that will. For His promises - the last - are that whosoever will may take of the cup and drink deep.

12. (Q) Please comment on the following as possible parts of the Congress program on healing -
(A) (Interrupting) Rather use that as suggested, in that each will have a report from one or more as to a service given; as well as there being present those who have at one period or another been upon the prayer list - and ask that they say Yea or Nay.

13. (Q) 993: Please give me enlightenment concerning that which took place in my forehead while meditating Monday afternoon, May 17th, and have had before and since, but of not such a long period, like an opening and shutting of a valve, and was heard by another person in the room.
(A) This, as you have knowledge of, is the opening of the centers along the cord of life, and - as there were physical obstructions - produced a physical sound when opened by the raising of the vibrations through the body.

This and such experiences then become ASSURANCES: not boastful, not overlording, but producing in the positive consciousness the physical activity of which you have a mental knowledge.

14. (Q) Considering the group as a whole, when we come together for meditation, should we use the intonations, singing, and breathing as described in the Readings?
(A) You are in a material world. You are subject to the laws of same. When you are moved by full accord, use the intonations, the breathing, the posture; but let this be rather as an outgrowth of attunement then the purpose FOR attunement. For to be one mind, one purpose, one desire, by and through a common cause, should bring - a unison of thought.

If one begins and all join, wonderful; but do not find fault that all are not in attune at once. Were all chosen to go

into the chamber of death? Were all chosen to go to the mount of transfiguration? Were all chosen to act when the five thousand were fed? There you find, in the various experiences, numbers or different ones among the twelve taking the leading role - as you do at the Last Supper, as you do at the Cross, as you do in the Garden, as you do on Resurrection Morn.

So, in your meetings, let this be a service of joy; for you call yourselves (and well so) Glad Helpers. Then ACT like it!

15. We are through for the present.
